Project 365!

Before I post today's photo, I have to show you this one.
This one was taken a week ago when we were about to take Callie to the airport. She's telling her "baby" good-bye. Notice the long face on Callie and the contempt on the dog's face. I think Cleo was ticked because it was still 0 dark thirty!  However, the following picture shows that Cleo may be missing her Momma more than she wanted to let on that morning.

She looks a bit sad, don't you think?
Callie has had Cleo since she was a fourth grader. That stupid little dog is as much a part of this family as one of the kids. She is so hard headed that she will probably out live us all.

Awwwwww...poor baby! I think I've mentioned to you before that my youngest wants a black and brown "weiner dog." With both of her older sisters leaving in the next year and a half for college, we are seriously contemplating getting her one for her birthday in March...so that she'll have a friend of her own and won't be lonely :(

I know how our pets become part of our family. Our cat ran away about 5 days before our son came home from college for this Christmas. We dreaded telling him and put it off till he got home. We told him and of course he was devestated and we felt such terrible grief thinking he was hurt, eaten by coyotes or just lost. We had him since Michael was in Kindergarten and that cat has traveled the whole world. After my son was home 2 days we just returned from our battalion Christmas party and low and behold at our back door was our beloved Cat. What an amazing Christmas miracle , it did my heart good to see the smile on our sons face.
