...was supposed to go shopping with my girlfriends.
...woke up with a terrible sore throat and stuffy head so I cancelled my shopping trip.
...didn't get showered or dressed until 2:30
...only put on yoga pants and a sweatshirt when I did get dressed.
...gave myself a facial then didn't put on make up the whole day. (does putting a mask on your face qualify as a facial?)
...did busy work like paying bills and making phone calls
...made a delicious chicken/corn/cheese chowder in the crockpot
...am thinking of going to bed already and it's not even 9:00
...am thinking I need to feel better because I'm going to see the Rockettes tomorrow!
Happy early weekend.

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. Other than that though, it sounds like a great day to me!
Boo, I have been fighting a cold the past couple days and spent most of them in bed. I'm actually up and going to head out today, we'll see how well I do, lol
Hope you feel better. Post a recipe for that chowder, it sounds YUMMY!
Be stronger than those germmies! I hope this goes away or at least waits until after you see the Rockettes. Sending you well wishes. *hugs*
Sometimes we all need those kind of days! Feel better quick!!!!
Army wife also, of 15 years. Husband is going through med board now for injuries sustained in Iraq several years ago. Haven't had the opportunity to visit many duty stations (been here for 11 years!!) but I have also enjoyed military life. The people I've met have enriched my life exponentially. I'm glad you do this blog...many shy Army wives out there will gain insight and camaraderie from you:) I have also used your "knowledge is power" mantra all of my life as well and I know many women will benefit from yours!! I have 3 girls that are very spread out in age (15, 6, and 2) and we are major busy after school EVERYDAY!! I would LOVE your chicken/corn/cheese chowder recipe for the crock pot. I am always looking for great crock pot recipes. If you don't want to post it, feel free to email it to me at jakrichards@bellsouth.net. Thanks and again keep up the blog!! I wish there had been something like this when I was new to the Army!
